The Living Sahabi. It is the blessed tree. It is found in AL Buqayawiyya, Jordan. It is referred to as the Living Sahabi as it has survived for thousands of years! It is a special place which has a remarkable story. A place to visit for those who seek blessings from such Holy Places. This is a story about the Christian Monk Bahira. His encounter with Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him).
The monk had lived for many years at a monastery worshipping God. One day he noticed a caravan coming from Hejaz. The caravan with its camels and people settled around the Buqayawiyya Tree. and according to his knowledge that this tree would welcome the last Prophet. And he would wait for any people to take shelter under this tree and look for signs of the future Prophet. But he could not find any.
26:191 And your Lord is the Noble, the Merciful.
26:192 And this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds.
26:193 It was sent down with the trusted Spirit.
26: 194 Upon your heart, so that you would be of the warners.
26:195 In a clear Arabic tongue.
26:196 And it is in the scripture of the old.
26:197 Was it not a sign for them that the scholars of the Children of Israel knew it?
John 16:7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you.
John 16:13 [And thus,] when he the Spirit of Truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he will hear, [that] he will speak, and he will show you things to come.
So, the monk took this opportunity to explore and invited the whole team to a feast. As he faced this young lad Muhammad, he confirmed that Muhammad was the last Prophet and told his uncle to take diligent care of him.
The blessed tree that sheltered Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing upon him) is still surviving for thousands of years. The Living Sahabi is truly a wonder of this world.
14:24 Did you not note how God puts forth the example that a good word is like a good tree, whose root is firm and whose branches are in the sky
14:25 It bears its fruit every so often with the permission of its Lord; and God puts forth the examples for the people, perhaps they will remember.
