Why Prophet Muhammad is a glowing light? What is this light about?

Why Prophet Muhammad is a glowing light?

There is no history like his history as he unified Arabia into a single religious polity under Islam through guidance over a period of 23 years! Only 23 years! This outcome is now considered as a miracle of all times because no one in history has done that far within a brief period.

Why Prophet Muhammad is a glowing light?

Why Prophet Muhammad is a glowing light?

Firstly, God had given him the truth and instructed him to recite with attention. And Prophet Muhammad was told to follow it. And to deliver ONLY the message to the people.

17.81 And say: " The truth has come and falsehood has perished, Falsehood is always bound to perish!"

7.20 And if the Quran is being read, then listen to it and pay attention, that you may receive mercy.

75.16 Do not move your tongue with it to hasten it.

33.2 And follow what is being inspired to you by your Lord. God is fully aware of all that your do.

69.44 And had he attributed anything falsely to Us.

69.45 We would have seized him by the right.

69.46 Then, We would have severed his lifeline.

A confirmation that the message is coming from God Himself and not the Prophet. This puts an assurance in the mind sets of the tribes that the message is genuine. There is no hidden agenda. We change with the word from God and not from Muhammad. A simple and very straightforward approach. This clarity had made it easy for people to enter Islam.

Because of this transparency it was easy for the people to follow it.

Moreover, Prophet Muhammad was referred as "sirajan muneera" وَسِرَاجًا مُّنِيرًا

What kind of brightness is the light? In 25.61 the brightness is like that of the moon: سِرَاجًا وَقَمَرًا مُّنِيرًا

"A Lamp and a moon giving light".

It is not like the Sun which is glaring.

71.16 "And He made the moon illuminate in them, and He made the sun to be a lamp?

Moon light is comforting and unlike sunlight which is glaring. The light is a reflected light from the message itself.

33.2 And follow what is being inspired to you by your Lord. God is fuly aware of all that you do.

When Prophet declared the message with his example (by following it) the followers were led by example.

What were the conditions outside of Arabia then? Al Muqawis of Egypt, King of Persia, King of Ethiopia, King of Bahrdain and the Roman empire. Were the kings comforting or tyraniical?

But Muhammad was comforting and carrying a simple message on the concept of God:

18.110 Say: " I am but a mortal like you, being inspired that your God is ONE GOD. So, whoever looks forward to meeting his Lord then let him do good works, and not serve anyone besides his Lord."

Our God is One God, and in serving or worshipping the One God we must not associate a partner with Him.

In 19.17 and 18.90 we were introduced to a phrase مِن دُونِ which has a meaning nested within a story.

In the story of Mary, she withdrew herself from her family to a place which was to the east due to her miraculous pregnancy and took a veil (hijab) to separate her from them (the people).

In 19.17 "Faittakhathat min doonihim hijaban"

In the story of Dhul Kharnain, he found a group of people who do not have shelter against the sun.

In 18.90 "Hatta itha balagha matliAAa alshshamsi wajadaha tatluAAu AAala qawmin lam najAAal lahum min dooniha sitran

Mary placed a screen in between the people and herself. Dhul Kharnain found a people who has no shelter in between the sun and them. The word to be understood as "intermediary".

3.79 Ma kana libasharin an yutiyahu Allahu alkitaba waalhukma waalnnubuwwata thumma yaqoola lilnnasi koonoo AAibadan lee min dooni Allahi walakin koonoo rabbaniyyeena bima kuntum tuAAallimoona alkitaba wabima kuntum tadrusoona

3.79 It is not for a human that Allah should give him the Scripture and authority and prophethood and then he would say to the people, "Be servants to me rather than God," but [instead, he would say], "Be pious scholars of the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied."

The translation "rather than Allah" is better understood if we install the nested meaning of "min doonihim" as "Be servants to me as an intermediary to God."

Sadly, this is what is prevalent in society right now!

Therefore, the companions were attracted to this light.

In addition, The Quran specifically mentioned that it is a guidance for the mutaqeen, and we know from the message they have some special characteristics.

They are God conscious people. Ther criteria to guidance that you need to be God conscious, and those who adhere to it will be grouped in this category automatically. This is a bonus for us as we are automatically classified as "God conscious" when we approach the message with right certainty and conditions.

And when the truth (message) guides us to understand and conditions us, our own self or nafs is upgraded from the lower state to an acceptable state. And those are the safe ones to enter heaven!

As a result, the message itself has attracted all the tribes towards this glowing light. As how a lighthouse emits light to act as a guide for navigational guide for sea plots at sea or on inland waterways, Prophet Muhammad is a glowing light and guided the entire Arabia into the fold of monotheism and goodness.

The Quran addresses us directly if we have the right conditions, and if we portray the right certainty in the word of God.

57.12 The Day will come when you see the believing males and the believing females with their light radiating around them and to their right. " Good news is yours today, you will have estates with rivers flowing beneath them; abiding therein. This is the great triumph!"

Get this glowing light here.
